The art thing is all about encouraging more people to enjoy art in different ways. We want you to have the option to buy or rent originals or prints in whatever format works best for you. Whether that’s commissioning a one off piece as a gift, renting an ever changing selection for your office, buying an original that catches your eye or ordering a few greetings cards or postcards featuring your favourite pieces.

If the information on this site doesn’t answer all your questions, or you have an idea for something but are not sure if we provide that service, please get in touch. We’re always open to new suggestions and enjoy speaking to our customers.

Originals

We offer a wide variety of affordable art for sale, from water colours to photography to acrylic on canvas, and much more.

We’ll be adding increasingly more artists to our portfolio, so please keep coming back to see the new pieces available.

Prints

We can reproduce any of the pieces of art displayed as prints. So, even if you can’t afford to buy an original, we can replicate it in an attractive print displayed in a frame or in any number of creative ways such as on boxed canvas or textured card.

Reproducing art in this way also means that you can select the size that is right for you, whether larger or smaller than the original piece.

We can also reproduce images of originals on postcards or greetings cards, allowing you to send unusual cards without having to place large orders.

Commissions

Commissioning a piece of art is a chance to have something produced that is very personal to you. You might want to capture a significant location, a portrait of a pet or the image of a favourite film star. Perhaps it’s simply that you’ve seen something on our site that you like, but would prefer in a different colour to suit your interior.

Whatever artwork you would like, we will select the best artist for your commission and he or she will work closely with you to ensure the finished piece fits your brief.

Rentals

Renting art is a great way to keep your reception, offices or home fresh. Art has the power to inspire, motivate and impress and making regular changes in what you display boosts its impact.

Simply pay £15, £25, £35, £55 or £75 per month, depending on which package you choose, and you can change the pieces each month. We rent out original pieces and prints, so you get the full enjoyment of each work at a price to suit your budget.

We just ask that you sign up for two months, but after that you’re free to stop your subscription at any time.

You do not require any extra insurance for this service.

Artists

We’re always looking for new artists to join The Art Thing. We want to support your growth and make art accessible for our customers, so we take a minimal commission on pieces sold, rented and used for prints.
